Being the symbol of Chiusaforte’s waters, it is loved by both locals and tourists from all over the world. In order to reach it, park your car in the open area adjacent to the trattoria ”Fontanon di Goriude” in Pian della Sega, then take the marked trail. It doesn’t matter how many times you have seen it, the Cascata del Sole (Waterfall of the Sun) will never cease to amaze you. In the Fontanon di Goriuda, water reemerges from darkness flowing out of Italy’s longest cave after a journey of almost 100 km. By jumping into the pool, the droplets create a mist from which evanescent water figures emerge, painting rainbows which are then captured by the sun.
